The Concept Of Lokmangal (Public Welfare) Is Evident In Every Policy Of The UP Government: CM

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Wednesday, emphasized the need for hard work to achieve something, rather than relying solely on dreams. He said that the government made a commitment seven years ago, and now the entire Uttar Pradesh is witnessing the fulfillment of that commitment.

The Chief Minister highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s status in various schemes including Ease of Doing, UP Diwas. He said, “The concept of Lokmangal (public welfare) is evident in every policy of the UP government. Achieving the first position in ending multidimensional poverty in the country, 6 crore people have risen above multidimensional poverty in the state as per the NITI Aayog report.”

Yogi said that until 2016, 1.40 lakh houses were sanctioned. From 2017 to now, 55.83 lakh houses have been constructed (17.65 lakh under PM Urban, 36.15 lakh under PM Rural, and 2.03 lakh under CM Housing Scheme). 97.50 lakh people have benefited from various social security pensions: 55 lakh elderly pensions, 31.50 lakh destitute women pensions, and 11 lakh divyangjan pensions.

Further describing the state’s development through various schemes, he mentioned:

– More than 1.75 crore Ujjwala connections have been provided. Free gas connections have been provided to 56 lakh families during Holi-Diwali.

– 2.62 crore Izzat Ghar have been constructed in the state.

– Under the Pradhan Mantri Swamtva Yojana, drone surveys of the population have been completed in all 90,866 villages. In total, 75,78,935 houses are ready in 52,590 villages, and homes have been provided to 66 lakh 69,000 families.

– Common citizens are experiencing the ‘Ease of Living’ through various initiatives such as better education, accessible healthcare services, clean drinking water, better security, modern transportation, and smart and safe cities.

– The ‘One Family One Identity Scheme’ is in progress. ‘Family ID’ seeding of 06 crore 64 lakh beneficiaries of 60 schemes has been done.

Speaking of UP Diwas, the Chief Minister said Uttar Pradesh celebrated its foundation day for the first time in 2018 after 68 years. This reflects the government’s sentiment towards heritage. This event is a special opportunity for the state to know and identify the direction and condition of development after its establishment.

“UP Diwas is celebrated every year with a new theme, for example ODOP was launched in 2018, Vishwakarma Shram Samman was started in 2019, Women Empowerment in 2020, Women Youth Farmers Sabka Vikas Sabka Samman in 2021, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Chauri Chaura Centenary Celebrations in 2022, Investment and Employment in 2023 and Rich Cultural Heritage of Uttar Pradesh in 2024”, Yogi added.

He said this House is familiar with the success of ODOP Scheme and Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana. The Indian Government has implemented it in the entire country. Speaking more of the ODOP scheme, he stated that it revived MSMEs, playing a decisive role in the upliftment of the rural and urban economy as well as in increasing the state’s exports from Rs 86 thousand crore to Rs 2 lakh crore. Lakhs of new employment opportunities have been created.

Yogi said that toolkits are being provided to 75 thousand traditional artisans every year through Vishwakarma Shram Samman. This year, two eminent personalities were honored with the ‘Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman.’ Lucknow resident Ritu Karidhal Srivastava, who supervised as the director of Chandrayaan Mission and Deputy Director of Mangalyaan Mission, and Kanpur resident Naveen Tiwari, a renowned name in the technology world who gave India the first unicorn, were honored.

Providing information on future plans, CM Yogi mentioned that after GIS 2023, we are now gearing up for GBC to be held on February 19 to initiate projects on the ground. Next year, the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela is scheduled, where the entire world will once again experience the ancient Indian heritage and tradition. This year’s Magh Mela has been prepared as an example to next year’s Kumbh Mela.

“Another significant effort is commencing for the agricultural sector. We have decided to implement the ‘’Rajya Krishi Vikas Yojana.’ This scheme will be a catalyst for major changes in the state’s agricultural sector. The construction of the largest international airport in Asia is underway in Jewar. Agra Metro is going to be inaugurated very soon”, he added.

Speaking of Uttar Pradesh as a leading state in the country, the Chief Minister mentioned the following points:

– Uttar Pradesh ranks first in the country in the implementation of more than 45 schemes run by the Central Government.

– First in the country in the implementation of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi. Till December, 2023, an amount of Rs 62998.69 crore was transferred to 2 crore 62 lakh farmers.

– First in the country by sanctioning/constructing 55.83 lakh houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (rural and urban).

– Free gas connections provided to 1.75 crore eligible families under Ujjwala scheme.

– First in the country by constructing 2.52 crore toilets in Swachh Bharat Mission.

– About 8.32 crore workers of Uttar Pradesh have been registered on the “e-Shram” portal created by the Government of India, which is the highest in the country.

– First in the country by opening 8.56 crore accounts under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana.

– First by giving 1.58 crore free electricity connections under Saubhagya Yojana.

– First by benefiting 1.09 crore people under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana.

– SVANidhi Scheme: Rs. 17,33, 132 street vendors. First in the country by providing a loan of Rs 2209.48 crore.

– First in the country with 31.24 lakh GST registrations.

– Leads in the country with 43 crore 42 lakh tourist foot fall. 14 lakh 34 thousand foreign tourists have also visited the state.

-Uttar Pradesh is number one in the field of dedicated freight corridor with a length of 1097 kilometers.

– Uttar Pradesh is number one in the country in railway network with a length of 8726 kilometers.

– Number one in the country with an expressway network with a length of 1400 kilometers.

– Number one in the country in canal networks with a length of 75000 kilometers.

-Uttar Pradesh is number one in the country with 6 lakh 48 thousand ponds and reservoirs.

– Number one in the country with 05 international airports.

– Number one in the country with 200 crore digital transactions.

– First in the country in production of sugarcane and sugar, food grains, potatoes, green peas, mango, milk and oilseeds.

– Number in making payment through DBT.

– First in establishment of micro, small and medium industries with more than 96 lakh units.

– First by benefiting more than 75 lakh people under Atal Pension Yojana.

– First in performance of e-tendering system. First to shop on GeM portal.

– First in the country in implementation of MNREGA. 196 crore man days were created.

– First in the country in treating patients through e-Sanjeevani portal.

– First in the nation in livestock and conservation, receiving the National Kamdhenu Award.

– In the year 2020-21, Uttar Pradesh topped the country in milk production with 313.591 million metric tons, followed by 338.736 million metric tons in 2021-22, and 362.414 million metric tons in 2022-23.

– Under the Destitute Cow Protection Scheme, 7064 cow shelters have been updated, protecting a total of 13.28 lakh cows.

– In the ‘Industrial Park Rating System’ program, 8 parks achieved “Leaders,” 11 parks achieved “Challengers,” and 1 park achieved “Aspires” status.

– The tableau displayed at the ‘Republic Day Celebration-New Delhi’ by the state won the first prize in 2021 and 2022 and the second prize in 2023 and 2024.

– Honored with the National Water Award. The ‘One-Stop Center’ in Lucknow received the Nari Shakti Award.

– Achieved ‘Achiever State’ in ‘Ease of Doing Business.’

– Uttar Pradesh received the ‘Gold Medal Trophy’ for being the ‘Best State in Skill Development’ from ASSOCHAM.

– The Cooperative Department was awarded the ‘Rakach Order of Merit Gold Award.’

– Rural Development Department got first prize in convergence.

– Special Jury Award for UP 102 Project-Police Emergency Management System.

– Received Achievers category in Ease of Doing Business and Accessibility Ranking of Logistics.

– Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Rapid Rail Transport has been started.

– Uttar Pradesh is the first state in the country where khadi produced from solar charkhas is recognized, and solar charkhas are being provided free of cost to weavers.

– 100 percent of villages have been declared ODF Plus.

– Several districts secured the first/second position in water conservation for river rejuvenation.

– Rejuvenation of rivers like Tedhi, Manorama, Sasur Khaderi, Gomti, Aril, Morwa, Nad-Varanasi, Baan, Sot-Sambhal, Kali East, Ishan, Budhi Pandu, and Sai.

– Planted a total of 36.16 crore plants in the year 2023. In the past six years, a total of 167.16 crore plants have been planted.

– Over 794 square kilometers of green area added in the state in six years.

– Uttar Pradesh has remained the top choice for Indian tourists. Approximately 140 crore tourists visited the state from 2018 to April 2023, equivalent to the country’s population.
