Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, who met Union home minister Amit Shah on Wednesday, said they will work together for the development of the national capital. Kejriwal had hinted at working together with the central government for the development of Delhi, while taking oath as chief minister at Ramlila Grounds in the national capital on Sunday.

The meeting between Kejriwal and Shah comes in the wake of a bitterly fought campaign for the Delhi assembly elections between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led by Kejriwal and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which rules at the Centre and of which Shah was the national president till recently. The two leaders sparred on various issues in the run-up to the elections that was swept by AAP.
