in Karnataka Jd(S) supremo and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda has confirmed that bjp and JDS will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections together. Before him, BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa had also confirmed this. Addressing a party event in Bengaluru on Sunday, Deve Gowda said leaders of the two parties have reached an agreement to contest the elections together. Hd Kumaraswamy and PM Modi will discuss and decide how many seats his party will get.

Why this decision was taken?

Deve Gowda said he took the decision to save the survival of his regional party. In his speech, the former PM also criticized the Congress and India Alliance and said that despite being such a big secular leader, the Congress and other leaders of the India Alliance did not even contact him to be part of this alliance.

Parties trying to resolve political equations

Significantly, keeping in mind the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, all parties are engaged in solving political equations. On the one hand, the India alliance is engaged in its full preparation, while after the defeat in Karnataka, the BJP is also looking seriously at this state. This is the reason why BJP and JDS are preparing themselves for a new war with the alliance in Karnataka.
