Fuel Prices Unchanged For 6th Straight Day

Fuel prices remained unchanged for the sixth straight day on Tuesday.

Petrol and diesel prices haven’t been revised since April 7 after the crude cost slid to $97.59 per barrel, a 24% drop from $128-plus reached in mid-March. Fuel prices were last raised by 80 paise per litre on April 6, the 14th increase in 16 days that made motor fuels costlier by Rs 10 a litre.

Petrol in Delhi now costs Rs 105.41 per litre, while diesel rate is Rs 95.87 per litre to Rs 96.67, according to a price notification of state fuel retailers. In Mumbai, petrol and diesel prices per litre stand at Rs 120.51 and Rs 104.77 respectively. Rates across the country and vary from state to state, depending upon the incidence of local taxation.
