Haryana Government will launch a new scheme to provide new LPG connection on subsidy of Rs 1,600 to other priority households (OPH), which would be effective from January 26, 2019. “All OPH families in the state, which have khakhi ration card and no one in the family has LPG connection on their name and the head of the ration card is a woman, will be eligible under this scheme,” said a spokesman of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs Department. He said that the subsidy amount of Rs 1,600, which at present is the security cost of cylinder and regulator, would be provided by the State Government and remaining amount of about Rs 633 would be borne by the consumer.

He said that the application form for obtaining gas connection can be obtained from any Common Service Centre, LPG dealer, website haryanafood.gov.in or office of District Food and Supplies Controller, Ration Card Preparation Centres or office of Deputy Commissioners. The applicants can submit their application forms at the nearby gas agency alongwith required documents including copy of OPH Ration Card, copies of Aadhaar Cards of all adult family members and copy of bank passbook, he said.
