United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), which represents nine top Bank unions of the country, has called for an All India Bank strike on December 26. This strike call by over million bank employees and officers has been given to oppose the Government’s decision to amalgamate Bank of Baroda, Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank, C.H.Venkstachalam, General Secretary, All India Bank Employees Association(AIBEA) told BusinessLine. It comes at a time when the Department of Financial Services (DFS) will take a review on Monday about the progress made so far in implementing the amalgamation of three public sector banks.
