In a meeting mediated by the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission, the discom had also laid out a plan to settle the outstanding payment.

The Anil Ambani-led company is awaiting a Supreme Court judgment, which will clear the path for recovery/liquidation of regulatory assets worth over Rs 16,000 crore.Electricity in Delhi is supplied by TPDDL and BSES, the power distribution units of Tata Power and Reliance Infrastructure, respectively. Peak power demand in BYPL’s distribution area of east and central Delhi it is expected to touch around 1600 MW this year.
