All-party meeting held for monsoon session, govt ready to discuss Manipur issue

An all-party meeting was held on Wednesday (July 19) ahead of the Monsoon Session starting from July 20. According to the media, the central government informed all the parties during the all-party meeting that the government is ready to discuss the Manipur issue, while, the opposition has also raised the demand for a discussion on inflation.

In the meeting, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said that the government is also ready to discuss every issue under the rule. The monsoon session of Parliament, which begins on July 20, will continue till August 11. “Clapping is done with both hands, , if the government wants Parliament to function, it should give space to opposition issues,” Chowdhury said.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh tweeted, “In the meeting, ” the demand for the Modi government to withdraw the black ordinance of Delhi was raised. How was the decision of 5 judges of the Supreme Court changed for 8 days? After all, how can the Constitution be amended through an ordinance??”

A total of 31 bills are ready to be introduced.

According to sources, the first bill in this list of bills that will be introduced in this session of Parliament is related to the ordinance brought about Delhi.

Who attended the meeting?

The all-party meeting was attended by Jairam Ramesh, Pramod Tiwari , , Anupriya Patel from Apna Dal, Ram Gopal Yadav and ST Hasan from SP and, Thambo Durai from AIADMK. Apart from AAP’s Sanjay Singh, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, , AD Singh, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and NK Premachandran were present.

Tradition of convening all-party meetings

In fact, there has been a tradition of calling an all-party meeting before the Parliament session, , in which different parties put forth their issues, in which senior ministers of the government are involved. The meeting was earlier called by Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar on Tuesday but leaders of several parties were not available due to two separate meetings of the opposition parties and the NDA.
