Sharma said that managing directors of various distribution companies would be held directly responsible for any prolonged outages. The minister also asked UP Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) chairman Arvind Kumar to take stock of the adequate availability of power equipment, including transformers, wires and poles. He directed adequate availability of trolley transformers to help in restoration of supply, especially in summers when the demand for power increases.
