Yogi government approved VRS of IAS Riggian Samfil, on medical grounds

IAS officer Riggian Samfil is a 2003 batch UP cadre officer and his Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) has been approved by the state government. The state government has sent the VRS of SAMFIL to the central government with its recommendation. Riggian Samphil is a resident of Ladakh and has sought VRS on medical grounds. At present, he is posted in Delhi as the Resident Commissioner of UP Government and wants to go to Ladakh with VRS.

Riggian Samfil has been the DM of Jalaun, Bijnor, Pratapgarh, Chandauli, Bahraich, Farukhabad, Kushinagar. Not only this, he has also been the Special Secretary to CM during the tenure of UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and former CM Akhilesh Yadav. During the Yogi government, Riggian Samfil had the responsibility of Additional Chief Project Director World Bank Project, Tourism and Additional Executive Director SIFPSA along with Special Secretary to UP CM. Samphil would have been counted as a clean image among the officers. He is also considered as the special officer of CM. He went to Jammu and Kashmir on deputation in the year 2018, after which he returned in 2021, Riggian Samfil has also been the Secretary of Tourism Department in Ladakh.

Akhilesh Yadav’s special secretary for the whole five years

IAS officer Riggian Samfil is counted among good and sociable officers. Whatever work Samfil has done during his tenure, he has done it honestly. During the tenure of SP chief Akhilesh, he was the special secretary of Akhilesh Yadav for the whole five years. While being the DM of Kushinagar in UP, he also received an award from the Prime Minister. Riggian Samfil is not the first UP officer to take VRS. Before this, the names of IAS officers Renuka Kumar (1987 batch), Juthika Patankar (1988 batch) and Vikas Gothalwal (2003 batch) are also included.
