Yogi Govt To Spend Rs 2,475 Cr On Scholarships, Rs 1,170 Proposed For The Divyang Pension Yojana

In the mega-budget of the Yogi government, special provisions have been made for the welfare of the backward class and Divyangjans. While, on the one hand, a provision of Rs 24,75 crore is proposed for the scholarship scheme for Other Backward Classes students  on the other, Rs 200 crore is proposed for the Marriage Grant Scheme for the daughters of poor people belonging to OBCs.

Additionally, a provision of Rs 1170 crore has been proposed for the Divyang Pension Yojana.

The budget also includes a provision of Rs 42 crore for the Leprosy Pension Scheme and he Artificial Limbs/Assistive Equipments Grant Scheme. The goal is to benefit approximately 49,000 persons with disabilities.

Similarly, for the construction of hostels for students belonging to the other backward classes, an allocation of around Rs 22 crore rupees has been made. Furthermore, Rs 35 crore is proposed for imparting computer training to unemployed youth of backward classes.
